TEAM

Team is a great way for students to gain experience with the commercial side of dance. We only attend competitions that are associated with conventions so that our students are always learning rather than merely competing.

Training starts during the summer (beginning in late June) in preparation for events starting in early fall. Being a member of TEAM is an honor. Students and parents must abide by the TEAM rules and regulations stated in the TEAM CONTRACT. This contract will be read and signed at the TEAM parent meeting Saturday, April 24 from 4pm-5pm.

AUDITIONS

We hold auditions for TEAM to help place students in the best group setting to benefit their style and artistry. Everyone who wishes to compete is allowed to perform a solo; however, students must audition to be involved in a group dance or be granted permission on special circumstances by SOMA faculty.

Auditions will be held Saturday April 24 from 1pm-4pm.

Students are required to audition for all style, but are not required to be in all group performances. We require students to be in a minimum of two group dances unless discussed with directors in advanced on a need-to-need basis.

PRICES

Team fee- $250

This annual fee for team expenses covers conventions registration, lodging, transportation, and amenities for SOMA Staff and choreographers. Additional funds are spent for props and excess costuming for learners. This fee also includes SOMA gear for students attending conventions as well.

Solos- $400

Duo/Trio- $275

Group- $250

Choreography pricing for SOLO includes choreography, costumes, and five privates. Privates will begin after choreography has been completed for dancer. Any rehearsals after this allotment will be charged $25 per half hour and $40 per hour.

Choreography prices for Duo/Trio/Group dances includes choreography, costumes, and as many rehearsals needed to ensure a high-caliber performance.
